Description

Al Circo! is a book for teaching the Italian language to children aged between 6 and 10.

Through an entertaining story which takes place in a circus, children will learn to say their name and exchange greetings, will learn the vocabulary related to animals, numbers, colours, food, clothes, body and nature.

The goal of Al circo! is for children to learn their first words in Italian with ease, using games that meet their needs and creative expression, drama, poems, songs and very simple reading and writing exercises. The activities meet children’s personal rhythm, stimulating their cooperation and their interest in a different culture. The songs, which stimulate childrens’ playful character and the concept of the group, help them acquire the correct pronunciation and intonation.

Al Circo! includes: the student’s book, accompanied by a multilingual glossary in the appendix (by Lorenza Mazzocato); a comprehensive guide for the teacher, available on line on our website, with additional material to be photocopied to create new ideas in the classroom, an audio CD.
