COMPANY'S PROFILE AND PHILOSOPHY

Edilingua Edizioni is a world-leading publishing house in the field of Italian as a foreign and second language, independent and specialized, one of the few in the sector. Born in 1996 in Rome, thanks to methodical and well-studied steps, Edilingua succeeded in producing a complete collection of valuable teaching material which are having an excellent and growing response in over 80 countries.

Edilingua was founded by two teachers of Italian for foreigners (T. Marin and S. Magnelli) and more than half of the staff, not just the editors, are or have been teachers of Italian for foreigners, while the general director is also author of educational texts.

One of Edilingua's aims is educational innovation and we believe we can achieve this without "inventing" new approaches and methodologies at all costs and without dogmatically adopting the latest trends, but simply by adapting in our books the positive aspects each educational approach can offer. As teachers, we know the reality of the classroom very well and that is why we test our ideas before offering a new book to the public.

This awareness and teaching experience is the basis of our mission: to produce quality teaching material, updated and modern, truly useful and practical, pleasant and easy to use. Material that puts students and teachers at ease, creating conditions that favor acquisition. And we do it through a new philosophy: in our opinion, to create a good teaching manual, the experience and possible talent of one or two people is not enough. In fact, each of our books is the fruit of the direct and indirect collaboration of many people, perhaps even of yourselves.
